Catch & Release FAQs
Why choose catch and release fishing?
Catch and release lets you experience the thrill of fighting powerful salmon while conserving fish populations. It's ideal for anglers who fish for sport, photographers, or those who simply don't need to keep fish.
Do the fish survive after being released?
With proper handling, survival rates are excellent. We use barbless hooks, rubber landing nets, and keep fish in the water during release. Quick, gentle handling ensures the fish swim away healthy.
Can I get photos with my catch before release?
Absolutely! We do quick photo sessions while keeping the fish in or near the water. You'll get great photos to remember your catch. We're experienced at getting the perfect shot quickly.
What are the trip options and pricing?
We offer two options: a full 8-hour trip departing at 6:00 AM for $1,680, or a 5-hour afternoon trip departing at 3:00 PM for $840. Both include all the same conservation-focused equipment and techniques.
What conservation practices do you use?
We use barbless hooks for easy removal, rubber nets that protect fish slime coating, in-water releases, and proper revival techniques. We minimize air exposure and handle fish with wet hands only.
Can I change my mind and keep a fish?
Yes, if regulations allow and you catch a fish you'd like to keep, we can switch to a traditional charter. Just let your guide know. We're flexible and want you to have the experience you prefer.
